How to add a Screener on the VA Tab within the Screenings Given Area
Step 1: Click Add New Screening and then click the Add button to the right of the Screening Instrument drop down list field.
Step 2: Click on Add New Instrument and enter a Screening Instrument Name.
Step 3: Click the arrow to the left of Update and Cancel buttons to open the Add New Measurement Area. Click Add New Measure.
Step 4: Add a Measure, which is the name of what is being measured. Then add Description, which is how it is being measured. If adding multiple measures they will need to be different terms. Descriptions can all be the same term.
Step 5: After all Measure are added click Update to the right of the Screening Instrument Name.
Step 6: After clicking update your new Screening Instrument will be listed with the number of measures indicated.
Error Messages:
You must add measures to this instrument error:
If you click Update before adding Measures, you will get the error message that you must add measures to this instrument. When you click OK it will go back to the Edit Screening Instrument page to start over and add the Screener again.
Data is invalid error:
If a measure is added and Update is clicked at the bottom of the Edit Screening Instrument page instead of or not beside the Screening Instrument Name, above the Measure, an error of Data is invalid pops up.
When you click OK you will see the Screener Name just added and have an opportunity to Add New Measure.
After adding the new Measure click Update for the Screening Instrument Name and it will save and list the Screening Instrument, and any Measures added.
